Not above wearing last night's t-shirt and drinking wine, unshowered.

Here, I sit, on a friend's couch, on her laptop, a glass of wine to my right and Jimmy Kimmel projected on the wall to my left. That's a good night.

It's been a long weekend already, and it's only 9:11 p.m. on Saturday. I haven't showered today, and you know what? I am OK with that. I'm still wearing the borrowed t-shirt from last night, when I slept on a makeshift bed on the floor in the spare bedroom with The Cats. My hair is pretending to be in a ponytail, but it's really a poor attempt at disguising bedhead.

Today I've eaten pizza, drank wine, taken a nap, nestled The Cats into a new surrounding and taken a deep breath.

This is exactly what I need - peace of mind.

Yesterday was Leap Year, a day that only comes around every four years, and thank God for that. It's not a day I'm looking to reminisce year after year. But today is a new day and a new month.

Day One.

Thank God.

Also thank God that new episodes of Grey's Anatomy start soon. Seriously.
