Once again, Christmas has sprung here in my cubicle with a brand-spankin' new Webster's New World College Dictionary Fourth Edition, oh my God I'm such a nerd. It came fresh in the mail. FOR ME. It's so big and new and full of... words. Correctly-spelled words, no less. This just a day after I received the 2008 edition of The Associated Press Stylebook.

People here are jealous of me. No lie. While I'm paging through the absolute latest in AP style, they are stuck in 2007 with an older edition.

New books make me squeal. And these are so new. And so... professional. And USEFUL. And they're all mine. I didn't have to borrow or beg or steal or put the company into bankrupty by providing me with updated technology to help me better do my job.

Deeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep breath.

Whew.

Dictionaries make me happy.
