Tour de France Man Lance Armstrong ran the New York City Marathon this weekend. It was his first marathon. He ran it in 2 hours, 59 minutes and 36 seconds.
But at least I can say I have something in common with Lance Armstrong now. Although I ran Chicago, not New York. And he beat me by a good 1 hour, 48 minutes and some-odd seconds.
But he proved he had this in common with all first-time marathon runners when he said, "that was without a doubt the hardest physical thing I have ever done."
My sentiment exactly, Lance.
