So remember that one time I said I was going to get a library card? So, I did, which is not the secret. The secret is how FABULOUS the library is. It has BOOKS. And MOVIES. And, they're FREE. And I currently have seven books in my possession, three on hold, and one book I borrowed from a friend. ELEVEN BOOKS TO READ. In like, a month.
I LOVE books. LOVE. Reading is fabulous. And I sound like an after school special, I realize, however, I don't care.
The library, I just realized, has a website. And account access. And it TELLS ME, right there on the screen, ALL of the books I have checked out, when they're due, when my holds are available and how much I owe in late fees (whoops, sorry Bridget Jones' Diary). How fabulous is the internet? And even more, how fabulous is the library?
Books make me all happy-like and excited. And since, you know, I have no internet OR television at home (and I've successfully watched EVERY season of Sex and the City, Dawson's Creek AND Grey's Anatomy on DVD already), I've got nothing to do BUT read. And you know, hang out and stuff. Talk on the phone... ? Watch The Cats?
Next on the reading list, because you care, is Jodi Picoult's My Sister's Keeper. I'm on a mission to read ALL of her books because she is FANTASTIC. I just read Perfect Match and The Tenth Circle, and they were AWESOME. And I'm going to continuously use outdated adjectives in ALL CAPS to describe these books.
Also, The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, which has been highly recommended to me by my Book Nerd pals. And I JUST put it on hold at the library from my VERY OWN computer because the library is AWESOME like that.
Oh, happiness. All around.
In addition, read everything from Jennifer Weiner, too. She's hilarious. Do it. Now. And now I'm done being a book promoter. Goodbye.
