On Saturday the running group I run with ran the full half marathon course for training. And A) I didn't die. And B) I beat my time goal for the race already.
I had hoped to run the race (on April 14) in under two hours. But on Saturday I ran it in one hour and 54 minutes. Yessss.
Granted, on Sunday I was sore. A lot. But today? I ran again. About 5.3 miles. And although I felt stiff and as though I weighed 284 pounds, I did it. And I'm fully recovered from Saturday. So I should be good to go come race day. Which is good, because after that? I might be running 50 miles a week.
How's that for motivation?
