Seriously. Is this what I've been missing all this time? The last book I read was The Cider House Rules. DO YOU KNOW HOW LONG AGO THAT WAS? When did I suddenly stop reading? And I need to promise to never do it again!
To be fair, I did start Love in the Time of Cholera, but seeing as though that book seemed to have gone AWOL, it was never finished. But I am happy to say I didn't, in fact, forget how to read.
I started reading the new Jodi Picoult book, Change of Heart, last week, and man, is it good. I haven't read me some Jodi in a good, long time, and I forgot how fantastic she is. I also forgot how fantastic reading is.
So, like the good, old days, my stack of to-be-read books is ever-growing. I recently snagged Stephen Colbert's book I Am America (And So Can You) from BethJ, and The Red Tent from another pal. I'll also be able to read Atonement in its entirety, too.
This all makes me embarrassingly happy. Don't tell anyone.
