Apartment hunting blows. I'm all ready to go. Got the job. Got the money. Got the stuff to fill the apartment. Don't have the apartment.
The first two I was interested in have turned into job interviews.
"Well, we have other applications under review, as well. I hope to make a decision..."
WHAT? Really? Ugh.
I'm just waiting for the call: "Thank you for your interest, but we've decided to go in another direction..."
I'm all too familiar with that line.
I've scoured Craigslist and all of the Internet. I've got a few numbers written down, and a flicker of hope. My new boss just gave me an "in" with some developers in the downtown area who own plenty of rent-able property, so today I'm on a mission.
I will find an apartment, dammit.
And when I have to move in 15 days, I will have somewhere to unload the U-Haul. I hope.
