Just listening to myself talk, don't mind me.

Today is my Friday. Because tomorrow, which is actually Friday, I'll be on a plane. To California. And I won't be at work, which is almost better news than that whole bit about going to San Francisco. It hasn't quite hit me that I'll be on a plane to California tomorrow because this week leading up to my departure has been about as exciting and happy as running over your head with an H2 Hummer.  Three times.

But dammit, I am going to California and I am going to enjoy it and I am going to run this marathon if it is the very last thing I ever do in my entire life. Because I freaking deserve it. And so do all those small children with leukemia, who, in case you forgot, I raised almost four-thousand-freaking-dollars for. And that is exciting. Dammit.

And yes, I am going to toot my own damn horn if I want, because it needs to be tooted. Thanks.

The jury is still out on whether this cold will be gone for the weekend, but today's better than yesterday, so I'm hopeful. With that said, I haven't ran in a week, so even if I don't have a cold, my body's going to be all, "WTF are you doing to me? I don't run," about three miles into the race.

But I'll just forget all about that because I will be in San Francisco. And you will be here, at your computer, reading my blog. And I might laugh at that fact, just a little.

In other news, if you need a pick-me-up, please watch this video on YouTube, because it will turn your life around. I'm not kidding. Your life will be turned. Around.

So, that's all I've got. Please carry on with your day.
