I'd complain, but I love this weather.

I just got back from a 10-mile run and I'm freezing. For the first time in months I came back from a run cold. It's glorious!

This summer has been the worst for running. Too hot, too humid, and lately, too much rain. But today - with the exception of the wind - it was perfect. Crisp. It felt like an actual fall day, which is the best news since summer.

I love fall. If fall were not a season, and therefore a tangible object, I would hold its hand and run through the open prairie with it. Maybe we'd make out, I don't know. I don't kiss on the first date.

Cough. That's actually how I ended up married. True story.

So, there's that.

And in other running news, I'm going to run a half marathon in a week-and-a-half rather than the full. I decided that I wasn't, in fact, crazy, and if I wanted to be able to walk on two legs in time for the Nike Women's Marathon on Oct. 21, I should probably lay off. But I'm actually excited. I like the half marathon. I can do well in a half marathon. I can actually set realistic goals and beat them, whereas during a marathon my main goal is Don't Die.

So this is good news.

And that's all I've got. I'm going to hop into an extremely hot shower and then wish I had foot-y pajamas because who the hell doesn't wish they had feet on their pajamas?
