Friday night musings.

Well I'm just sitting here in the Cat Office with Harley in my lap. It appears to be her most favorite place as of late. She is, without a doubt, always in my lap. I could be sitting cross-legged, resting my elbows on my knees with a blanket covering my legs, and she'd finagle a way to my lap. So, if nothing else, I've got a great lap warmer.

Both cats have been exceptionally loving lately, and occasionally I find that I love them so much I'm almost afraid to have children for fear they wouldn't measure up. Sometimes I pick either of them up, bury my face into their necks to breathe their kitty smell, and I am 100 percent content. I just want to SQUISH them.

OK, enough crazy cat lady talk.

So, it's 2009. Did you notice? I decided my running resolution for the year would be to log 1,000 miles. So far I've got 9! Only 991 more to go!

Speaking of running, I start officially training for my spring marathon on Jan. 12. I still don't know which marathon I'm running come May, but for now I'm pretending it's the Green Bay Marathon. I'm following Hal Higdon's Intermediate II plan, if you're interested.

Well, Harley's started in on her heavy sighs, which likely means she's tired of me constantly shifting her around so I can comfortably type. Must bow down to the master.
