* That's what she said. My girl Anne rules the Twitterverse. I just adore that thing. She's so cute and happy and all full of positivity. She's like exploding with goodness, I swear. She probably bleeds sugar and candy and rainbows. And so that's why I love her. You should love her, too. Because I said so.
So, on Friday, I had my bartending shindig in Milwaukee, Land of Twitter. Where every awesome tweep I know hangs out. Sweet Anne, who does not drink, obviously couldn't partake in my purple drink magic, but because she's so good and kind of fond of puppies and unicorns, she could not leave the night without contributing to my Team In Training cause in some way.
Now, as some of you may or may not know, Team In Training benefits the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. That's a lot of words, and hard to spell, and really it's just easier to say, "Oh, hi, I'm helping cure blood cancer."
As I'm behind the bar, making magic happen, duh, Anne leans over with a fistful of dollar bills. She kind of leans in, with a whisper, almost like we're about to make an illegal transaction, and she says, "Hey, so... I can't buy a drink, but I really want to help out the Children of Leukemia, so here..." and she hands me the cash.
THE CHILDREN OF LEUKEMIA.
SHE MEANT IT.
OMG TEH FUNNIES.
OK, maybe you had to be there. But it was hilarious.
I love her. Seriously. I'm still laughing about it. And if you're also feeling kind and generous and Anne-ish, feel free to help them out, too.
